| Marilyn
Mikkelsen began her career as a photographer in London, Ontario
after graduating from Fanshawe College's Photography program in
1981.
Soon
after, Marilyn moved to Ottawa where she succeeded in establishing
herself as one of the only successful female photographers in the
nation's capital to shoot editorial and public relations images
for such clients as the Prime Minister's Office, the Department
of External Affairs, and the Ottawa Citizen daily newspaper.
It wasn't
long before Marilyn expanded her photography business to include
weddings, bar mitzvah's, and children/family portraits.
Today,
Marilyn operates a home-based studio and shoots on location with
her husband Ralph Plath in digital and traditional film formats.
